This is a controversial topic. I personally agree with Kelly’s idea that by providing work training for employees, they are likely to feel more valued thus more willing to stay and work harder in the company. Besides, skilled employees could work more efficiently and form the positive atomosphere. However, Andrew holds different opinion which point out that hiring well-skilled employees might be a better option since there are also a lot of necessary investment to pay. What he did not considered is that employees, or other word, well-skilled persons are the crucial component of the company’s properties and the cost between training an employee from scratch and hiring a skilled worker is difficult to measure.

In my point of view, I am deeply convinced that going out for a field trip is a crucial part for students to learn more knowledge that they can not learn from conventional in-classroom courses. As Paul mentioned, field trips triggered his interest in becoming an astronomer when he was young. This is one clear evidence that supports the idea of the benefit of a field trip. Although Kelly claims that it might be difficult for teachers to arrange their teaching pace in order to make sure that no instructional time is wasted, she does not deny what students could learn from the field trip. A field trip may save more instructional time since students might be inspired by the trip and willing to spend more time and effort on the course.

In my opinion, field trips are an essential component of education, offering students knowledge and experiences that are difficult to gain within the confines of a classroom. For example, Paul attributes (v. 把……归因于) his passion for astronomy to an inspiring field trip he took as a child, demonstrating the profound (adj.(影响)深刻的) impact such experiences can have. Although Kelly points out the logistical challenges in arranging field trips, such as maintaining the teaching pace, she acknowledges their educational value. The potential for field trips to inspire students can make them a worthwhile investment, as inspired students are likely to dedicate more time and effort to their studies, ultimately enhancing their learning and possibly saving instructional time in the long run. This balance of benefits and challenges makes a strong case for the importance of field trips in education.
